๐Ÿงฟ Advanced Guide

Once you've mastered the game basics and built a powerful fleet, it's time to conquer the Universe.

This guide is a work in progress. Feedback is welcome and appreciated! Head to @SpaceHuntGame or use the /feedback command.

There's a few things we can do now, we are basically aiming at power and recognition now. From being in the Top 3 Ranking and earning those hefty Taxes to defeating a Boss and becoming part of history.

Check out the Bosses guide here.

Top Ranking

One thing to remember is that Resource production will be slowly growing as we research our Production Levels but Units we build now are going to be more expensive, so building a fleet is going to be considerably slower now. Let's not waste them and be more careful who we battle. It's better to avoid a fight if we are going to lose since this will make us drop in the Rankings considerably and the race up is slow and a lot of work.

To become a Top Player we need to increase our score, there's a few things we can do:

  • Keep building powerful units, optimizing our resources to a maximum
  • Gathering Ether

Double Raiding

One of the mistakes many players run into when raiding is to send their Cargo Ships to battle. Cargo Ships are weak and they will easily get destroyed in a fierce battle. What a pro player does is send them later, after the enemy defenses have been destroyed or maimed so there's no battle, just looting.

The idea is to send two raids: an offensive one to eliminate resistance and a looting one that will collect as many resources as possible. But how do you time them both so they are well synchronized? You want to send the Cargos just after the Battle so that the enemy hasn't had time to build new units or spend the resources.

It is very simple to do and it doesn't require you to do distance calculations or anything else. A Mission will always have the speed of the slowest unit in it, so just add the same slow unit on both offensive and looting raids, one after the other. This will usually be a 5k speed unit (๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Bomber or ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Destroyer). Here's an example:

  • Raid 1 (offensive): 49 ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Bomber
  • Raid 2 (looter): 50 ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ต Large Cargo Ship, 1 ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Bomber

That single ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Bomber on Raid 2 will slow down the ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ต Large Cargo Ships enough so they don't overtake Raid 1.

Another example:

Here we are adding 1 ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช Bomber to both raids.

Building Destroyers, Deathstars and Massive Cargo Ships

These units are special regarding their cost, which increases by the amount of existing units in your planet or the Universe. A trick used by top players is to send the units to other guild members so they don't count towards your quota and you can build them at a reduced cost.
