This article will guide you on how to build your base and fleet quickly.
When you first start, you will have a few resources (⚡ Electricity, 🔩 Metal and 💎 Crystal), so first thing we want to do is to build a 🏬 Technology Center. This building will enable us to research our Technology Level to be able to build more advanced buildings:
Click 🏭 Buildings (or type it), then 🚧 New Building and then click on
/buildtechnologycenter to start building. A 🚧 Construction Site will appear, that's good, it will show you how much time remaining until the 🏬 Technology Center is completed.
While we wait, let's build some of the most important buildings in the game: the Mines. Go to 🏭 Buildings, 🚧 New Building and build 3 🌋 Metal Mines and 3 ⛰ Crystal Mines to gather 🔩 Metal and 💎 Crystal, we will need more 🔩 Metal at the start. There is another resource called ⚡ Electricity, but we can manage with what we've got for now.
Now build a 🏢 Warehouse, each will increase storage for 🔩 Metal and 💎 Crystal.
And now we wait… SpaceHunt is a game that doesn't require your full attention all the time, and does many things passively. Go grab a coffee or chat with your friends and come back in a bit.
Once the 🏬 Technology Center is completed, go to 🏭 Buildings and then click on the link below 🏬 Technology Center, it will look something like
/building4. Then click on
/newjobresearchtechnology. This will start researching Technology Level 1, which will allow you to build more buildings such as the 🏗 Starport (to build units), 🗼 Light Laser (to defend from enemies) or 📡 Radar (to warn you when an attack is incoming).
So that's what we are going to do, priority #1 is researching Technology until we get to Level 3, with the remaining resources aim for 8 🌋 Metal Mines, 6 ⛰ Crystal Mines and 3 🌞 Solar Panels for resources, several 🏢 Warehouses and 1 🔋 Battery for storing ⚡ Electricity.
Now that we know how to build, you may have seen that there are other menus: 🖥 Dashboard, 🛸 Missions, ✈️ Units, 🔱 Guild and 📋 Log. We'll focus on 🖥 Dashboard for now.
The Dashboard is really helpful because it sums up what is going on:

You can change your name to something else by typing
Once you can build the 🏗 Starport (you needTechnology Level 3), you open up many possibilities. Go build it!
Once it is built, build a 🛫 Hangar so you can have up to 10 units. It will take 30 minutes more or less, build resources and storage but keep 💎1,000 for your first unit (the 🇲🇴 Observer) when the 🏗 Starport is completed!
While doing all this, keep researching your Technology levels since these will unlock necessary jobs, buildings and units for the future.
Go to 🛸 Missions and click on 🛰 New Exploration. Select your 🇲🇴 Observer (or type
/add1observer) and then click on 🛫 Depart! (or type
Exploring gives you a 70% chance to find new planets which you can [raid] later. Before raiding, it is wise to explore 5-10 planets so you can raid the lowest level ones first without the risk of getting destroyed.
By now you probably have some nice resource production, if you don't, keep building Mines until you get to 15 Mines of each (the maximum is 20). Yes, you want that many. And once you can build the 🧪 Engineering Bay, do so and research ⚙ Production which will give you a nice 10-20% boost in all your Mines and Solar Panels.
Sooner or later someone will attack you, there's two strategies you can do:
Now you will have a good base and will be able to Raid, Explore and build your fleet further. Keep researching and you can find new perks such as the 📡 Automatic Scan, stronger turrets/units or the 🏦 Trade Beacon that will enable you to buy and sell units/resources.
Also, keep building until you reach your maximum planet slots, to give you an idea, my current resource/storage is 12 🔋 Batteries, 20 🏢 Warehouses, 10 🌞 Solar Panels, 16 🌋 Metal Mines and 8 ⛰ Crystal Mines.
It is not until late in game that you will be able to extend your building slots so you will need to optimize space demolishing things that are not strictly necessary (for example, 30 solar panels).
Now is a good time to change your name if you want (use the command
/name NEWNAMEHERE, you won't be able to do so later in game.
Head over to the Wiki to learn more about specific Buildings/Units as well as find reference tables for costs and durations of every building, job and unit. Two very interesting pages are the 🏬 Technology Center and the 🧪 Engineering Bay. Also, check the 📳 Random tips, and then, move to the 🛡 Intermediate Guide or join a guild.
