By now you have a steady production of resources, some buildings, some unitsโฆ
Let's continue by maxing out your Mines to produce as much as possible and get a nice and steady income.
If you still haven't maxed out all your planet slots, do it now, this is how I have mine:
Go to ๐ฃ More and then โ Settings to customize your strategy further.
Keep researching, both in the ๐ฌ Technology Center and in the ๐งช Engineering Bay, as new Research specializations unlock, you should choose your strategy going forward: offensive, defensive, resourceful, etc.
The first levels of each are quick and cheap, so go ahead and level up a few of everything.
It is vital that you explore for a while and get to know your surroundings, so keep exploring until you know at least 20-30 nearby planets.
You may not have used it yet, but the /destinations
command is pretty awesome, it shows you a map of all known planets, the bigger the circle, the higher the score.
For new explorations, don't send more than 1 ๐ฒ๐ด Observer, there's no need to send multiple since we only want to learn where everyone else is, and hopefully find a Boss for later in the game. If you keep encountering strong planets that compromise and destroy your ๐ฒ๐ด Observers, then send more than one at a time to increase your Intelligence Level and reduce the chances of getting caught.
Remember to keep a few ๐ฒ๐ด Observers at base to increase your Intelligence Level and block curious enemies from discovering your assets. Read how Intelligence works to understand why I am saying this.
Extra tip: Aggressive players use to position themselves at the center of the map so if you want to avoid getting wrecked, move a bit to the sides.
๐ฑ Guilds are a great way to keep your planet safe, once you join one, ask if they have a Telegram channel so you can communicate through there or use the guildmsg
command. Some guilds prefer their members to specialize in different abilities for better teamwork, check their descriptions.
If you are too far away from your guild members, you can try teleporting although note that you may need to do it a few times until you find an acceptable spot.
Get a few ๐ Starports and build the strongest units you can until you max out all your ๐ซ Hangars. It is better to have 100 Scouts than 10 Liberators so first go for quantity, then for quality. You want to maximize the number of ๐ซ Hangars all the time, so any building that is not strictly necessary will need to go as soon as you run out of Unit space.
If you constantly lack a particular resource, use the ๐ฆ Trade Beacon to swap resources with other players.
As you grow your fleet, you will either need more Hangars or deconstruct weak units, it is up to your strategy to decide which buildings to demolish and which to keep.
Now that we are relatively strong, start raiding for extra resources to grow much faster than just with resource production.
Sleepy players for easy targets: note down their score and check it again after a few hours.
You will not be able to attack very low level players so keep exploring as your score increases to find similar-level players.
If you don't want to risk your units in a ๐ Raid, you can send ๐ฐ Explorations to planets that have overflow resources orbiting around the planet. You can quickly see planets that have overflow debris by opening the ๐ Destinations menu.
As you unlock more Technology levels keep optimizing your buildings and units, demolish those ๐ผ Light Lasers and build โฉ Heavy Lasers, deconstruct ๐ฌ๐ฌ Scouts and build ๐ง๐น Wraiths, etc.
